Agneepath is a 2012 Indian Hindi-language action drama film produced by Hiroo Yash Johar and Karan Johar under Dharma Productions and directed by the latter’s former assistant, Karan Malhotra, in his directorial debut. The music of the film was composed by Ajay-Atul, with lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya. As with the original, the title is taken from a poem of the same name by Harivansh Rai Bachchan, which forms a thematic link through the film, both literally and metaphorically. Hrithik Roshan, Sanjay Dutt, Rishi Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Kanika Tiwari, Om Puri, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Asgar and Katrina Kaif ” are in the lead role starring in this movie. Agneepath derives its name from a poem of the same name written by Harivansh Rai Bachchan. The poem, which is recited through the film provides a metaphorical link to represent Vijay’s quest for vengeance.
Agneepath is a very amazing Indian Hindi-language biographical war film directed by Karan Malhotra in his Bollywood Screenplay and written by Karan Malhotra and Ila Dutta Bedi. The film was inspired by the life of Mumbai don Varadarajan Mudaliar and gangster Manya Surve. Bachchan modelled his mannerisms and voice on Surve for his character. A remake of the eponymous 1990 film of the same name directed by Mukul S. Anand, it centres on a screenplay written by Malhotra and Ila Dutta Bedi on the basis of an altered version of the original story by Santosh Saroj, while the dialogues are written by Piyush Mishra. Short Story Line ⮞
Hrithik Roshan plays the lead role of the protagonist Vijay Deenanath Chavan, a common man who seeks revenge for his father’s death, and Sanjay Dutt plays the role of the antagonist Kancha Cheena, originally played by Amitabh Bachchan and Danny Denzongpa respectively, with Rishi Kapoor portraying the newly introduced character of Rauf Lala, an underworld gangster. In the island village of Mandwa, the school teacher Dinanath Chauhan (Chetan Pandit), highly respected by the villagers, tries to dissuade them from giving away their lands on lease to Kancha (Sanjay Dutt), the son of the village head who plans to start a drug mafia. Knowing this, Kancha decides to get rid of the school teacher. Vijay is attracted to Rauf Lala (Rishi Kapoor), a local girl trafficker and importantly an enemy of Kancha and wants to get into his company. He earns his favour and joins his gang. Meanwhile, his mother along with his baby sister leave Vijay’s side as he resorts to violence.
A young boy’s father is lynched before his eyes; fifteen years later he returns home for revenge. Agneepath is a story of revenge of Vijay Chauhan against an evil and sadistic Kaancha, who hangs Vijay’s father to death. Vijay grows up with a single aim of avenging his father’s death.
